Aerial Patrol

Southern Seaplane provides aerial patrols for pipelines, power lines or any asset that has governmental, state, or local reporting requirements.

Aerial patrol of pipelines is an effective means of rapidly covering large areas of pipeline assets. Our pilots typically focus on observation of changes in the area and on potential problems. The focus of any patrol can be tailored to address specific needs due to environmental circumstances or regulatory changes.

Our pilots are Full Pipeline Operator Qualified (NCCER) to observe and report: Abnormal Operating Conditions, and Inspection of Right-of-Way such as:

• Evidence of High Traffic Across Right of Way
• Pipeline Leaks (dead vegetation, discoloration, etc.)
• Sunken Backfill
• Exposed Pipe
• Land Erosion
• Broken Terraces
